Art & Fable is a newsletter / personal project by me, Liz Volpi Impastato. I’m a graphic designer pursuing illustration who LOVES ancient history, mythology, stories, artifacts, sites… you get the picture. Basically, anything having to do with people who have been dead for over 1000 years gets me really excited.
So, for this project I’ll be drawing a scene from an ancient fable to share with you once every other week. I’m starting this series with the fabulous Greek fabulist, Aesop, whom you may know from tales such as The Tortoise and the Hare, The Goose and the Golden Egg, and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Each newsletter will include a different fable and corresponding illustration, plus general life updates and freebies from moi. Thank you for taking an interest in my work.
